Walter Swaim is a native of the Miami-Hollywood-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area and a transplanted Texan. He and his wife have served in ministry full-time for over 35 years, focusing on church planting and missionary work among Hispanic people, sharing the Truth of the Gospel. Walt is currently pastoring the Abiding Life Baptist Fellowship in the Pasadena (Houston), Texas area. He holds a Masters in Divinity and a Doctor of Philosophy in religious studies and apologetics. Celebrating over 35 years of marriage, he and his wife have 3 wonderful grown children and seven grandchildren. Walt enjoys fishing, video gaming, British mystery shows, world cup soccer, and sports in general (though he has a peculiar fondness for curling), as well as having fun with family and friends. Additionally, he loves dogs and model rockets!

In summary, we believe that the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God, embodying the ultimate Truth and serving as the sole authority in all matters. We affirm that God created everything in six literal days and rested on the seventh, and that mankind was created in His image. 

Man chose to sin against God, resulting in all being hopelessly far from Him and destined for an eternal hell. However, God sent His Son to die for our sins and judgment. Thus, any person can be saved by God's grace by turning from their sin and placing their faith in Jesus Christ alone, the embodiment of Truth. 

The Bible also states that the church consists of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus and are baptized by immersion. Jesus is coming again to bring His own to heaven with Him, fulfilling the promise of Truth.
