The Founder
Walter Swaim is a native of the Miami-Hollywood-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area and a transplanted Texan. He and his wife have served in ministry full-time for over 35 years in church planting, foreign and home missionary work among Hispanic people, and Walt is now pastoring the Abiding Life Baptist Fellowship in Pasadena (Houston), Texas area. Walt holds a Masters in Divinity, and Doctor of Philosophy in religious studies and apologetics. He and his wife are celebrating our marriage of over 35 years and have 3 wonderful grown children and seven grandchildren. Walt loves fishing, video gaming, British mystery shows, world cup soccer and sports in general (though he has a weird liking for curling) and having fun with family and friends. Oh, and he loves dogs and model rockets!
What We Believe
In summary, we believe that the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God and is the sole authority in all things. We believe God created everything in six literal days and rested on the seventh and that mankind was created in His image.
Man chose to sin against God and therefore all are hopelessly far from God and destined to an eternal hell. God but then sent His Son to die for our sin and judgment. Any person therefore can be saved by God's grace by turning from their sin and placing their faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The Bible further states that the church is made up of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus and are baptized by immersion. Jesus is coming again to bring His own to heaven with Him.

Our Mission
Our purpose is to defend the truth of God especially related to current cultural and theological trends, being a support to pastors and missionaries and their spouses, and providing apologetics and other biblical resources to local church leaders and disciplemakers.
